Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign up to work out at your gym? Is a consultation required to start training or physical therapy at OutFitness?
While not required, we encourage everyone who is interested in training at OutFitness to schedule a free 30-minute consultation with Sydney through our booking system, found under the Scheduling tab. This will allow for any of your questions to be answered and learn more about the services offered at OutFitness and how they can benefit you. HSAs (health savings accounts) are accounts where contributions can be made with pre-tax dollars, and you can use this money to pay for healthcare expenses (such as PT)! Using pre-tax dollars allows your income to be reduced by the amount you contribute to your HSA annually.
FSAs (flexible spending accounts) are similar to HSAs, but less flexible, and you can only opt-in to this as an employee benefit.
How insurance works in the PT world:
Each insurance plan has a deductible, which is the amount of money that you must spend on healthcare before your insurance will start covering a portion. So, if your deductible is $5,000 per year, you will be paying out of pocket for all of your healthcare needs until you hit that number.
Once you hit your deductible, your insurance will pay a percentage of the cost for your healthcare visits. The portion that the insurance pays depends on the contract that they have with each individual provider.
The average cost of out-of-pocket PT in Texas is $155 per visit, and this can rise to over $200 in certain situations.
All of this means that if you don’t think that you will hit your deductible in a given year (no surgeries, no big medical expenses that insurance will cover), then OutFitness has a very cost-effective way for you to take care of your PT needs!
How do I submit HSA/FSA?
Follow these steps from www.fsafeds.com/file
"Submit your claim in one of these two ways:
• Log in to your account. If this is your first time logging into your FSAFEDS account, you'll need to register first before logging in.
• Once you have logged into your account, click Submit Receipt or Claim and select your Reimbursement Option.
• Follow the step-by-step instructions.
• Upload digital copies of your itemized receipts (and other documentation if needed).
• Log in to the FSAFEDS app using the same username and password as your online account.
• Select whether to submit a claim or pay a provider.
• Follow the prompts to enter claims details.
• Take photos of your itemized receipts (and other documentation if needed) or upload from your mobile device.
• Tap Submit Claim to authorize the claim and finish the submission."

Do I have to be part of the LGBTQ+ community to work out at the gym?
You do not! OutFitness was built to be a place for the LGBTQ+ community, however we know that we need our allies to show up, both in and outside of the gym. We have several clients that are allies, and we are so happy they are here. We just ask that you are respectful of the space and remember what we stand for. See the about page for more!
